The Tesla Cybertruck just turned one. I can only assume owners will mark the occasion by giving their truck a nice polish, taking a little joyride and then shooting a bunch of holes in it. You know, totally normal stuff. So, what can we say about Tesla's outrageous-looking pickup one year on? Through the first three quarters of 2024 it's been the best-selling electric pickup and one of the top-selling EVs of any kind in the U.S. However, demand may be capping out. Staff writer Iulian Dnistran found dozens of Foundation Series Cybertrucks—that's the limited-edition launch model—sitting in Tesla's inventory around the country. Perhaps potential buyers are just waiting on the sidelines for cheaper versions. In any case, this is not a great look for Tesla and its truck.
