Porsche Communication Management
On the Home screen tap the Charge tile
Select the Profiles tab
Create a New Profile
Choose between a general or location-based profile (address required)
Set a minimum charge to ensure a minimum range. Charging to this level will start immediately once the charging cable is plugged in
Set your preferred charging times based on your electricity tariffs
Make sure the required profile is activated by selecting the check mark
Please note:
As standard, the Taycan’s minimum charging profile is set at 25%. To set a target state of charge, you need to use the timer function.
If you have compatible smart charging/energy management hardware, you can also use optimised charging. In this case, make sure to activate plug & charge: in the Charge section tap the three dots in the lower right corner > Activate plug & charge.

On the home screen tap your Vehicle (or Vehicle details)
Tap Functions
Tap Charging
Tap Profiles
Create a New Profile – see options above for the PCM – and save by clicking Confirm
Managing timers in Porsche Communication Management
PCM Home > Charge > Timer > Add new timer
Enter the date and time of departure (you can optionally set timers to repeat on specific days)
Enter the desired charging level
Once activated, the car will ensure the desired state of charge is reached by the departure time and the charging process will stop (unless a higher minimum state of charge is specified in the active profile).
Managing timers in My Porsche App
App Home > Vehicle (or Vehicle details)
Tap on Functions
Tap on Charging
Tap on Timer
Tap on Add Timer: set the departure date and time and the desired charge level (you can also optionally select the repeat function)
Save by clicking Confirm

- Is it possible to explain how to set AC charging for a particular time period on the later, 2024 cars? I've had my Taycan 24MY car for 3 months and still don't understand the settings. Sometimes they work, other times it just starts charging as soon as you plug it in.
- this is really a very bad loading system from Porsche. its really bad working. Compare to other carbuilders its unnecessary complicated
