Approximately two years ago, Renault officially announced the new generation of the Twingo. An announcement accompanied by a very interesting concept model that lays the foundations for what will be the production vehicle that we will sooner rather than later see. A year later, the concept car made the news again as the brand unveiled its interior as a second preview. Shortly after, prototype sightings began.

Launched in 1992, Renault Twingo radically transformed the A segment with its bold new vision of the city car.
Built for silent driving with zero tailpipe emissions and cutting-edge technology, Twingo E-Tech electric ships with driving aids usually found further up the market, as well as with the OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in – a first in this segment. The aim is to make electric cars easier to drive and encourage more people to make the switch. The ideally sized LFP battery (up to 263 km WLTP range) is combined with a lively, lightweight 60 kW motor. Twingo E-Tech electric is perfect for driving in and around cities, where the One Pedal function makes light work of day-to-day traffic jams. Finally, competitive pricing remains a priority: Twingo E-Tech electric will launch at under €20,000. Even the top-spec versions will sell for an attractive price.
Built at the Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia, Twingo E-Tech electric will launch in early 2026.

- That interior feels so much neater and more roomy than the R5, I love it! The 90s design also is gonna make a lot of people love it, as it's quite likely that the 90s twingo was their first car.- Really love the look of this new Twingo, in fact it’s the first contemporary EV I’ve seen in a while which I would genuinely buy if I had the money, just something about those looks.
- Not once have I got in to a car a felt the need to “scratch” the plastic. Also, adult room in the back is irrelevant, it will be either kids in the back or no kids at all.
