The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible is the long-awaited drop top sibling of the gorgeous LC 500 Coupe. Only this time, the convertible has just one engine option: the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, good for 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Lexus engineers opted for a soft top made from high-quality fabric over a hardtop in order to save weight. This soft top rises in about 15 seconds and requires just another second to close. It can operated from up to speeds of 31 mph. The interior is the same as what you’ll find in the coupe, such as the 10.3-inch split-screen. One new interesting feature is the Lexus Climate Concierge with Upper Body Heating, a system that automatically manages the air conditioning, seat heaters, neck heaters, and steering-wheel heater in order to guarantee the perfect cabin conditions. Sales of the new Lexus LC 500 Convertible are expected to begin next year.
