If you thought car prices were weird in 2023 and 2024—and they were—just wait until new tariffs get involved.   President Trump's 25% tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico are expected to hit this weekend, and they could soon have a profound effect on car prices, electric or otherwise. And today we learned at least one Canadian politician may not be taking this lying down; the country's former finance minister is threatening Tesla, specifically, with 100% tariffs over CEO Elon Musk's support of President Trump.   What a sentence to write!
