The long-awaited refreshed Model Y will soon be on sale in America. Tesla updated its website on Thursday with the U.S.-spec version which now gets better range and an extensive upgrade inside and out. Deliveries are set to begin in March and Tesla seems to be following the same philosophy as the Foundation Series Cybertruck with a Model Y 'Launch Series,' which is an odd moniker for an electric crossover that has been on sale for more than four years. The Launch Series is basically a fully loaded Long Range all-wheel-drive trim with Full-Self Driving (Supervised) as standard, vegan suede interior and special badging all around. Its price tag won't make you smile. All that costs $59,990 before taxes, about $12,000 more expensive the current equivalent trim. Ouch! —Suvrat Kothari, Staff Writer |
