2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Charges into the Future Jeep may have kicked off its EV era with the pocket-sized Avenger in Europe a couple of years ago, but its first mass-market EV in its home country is the Wagoneer S. And it's easy to see why Jeep waited to launch its electric lineup in the US with this particular model. First off, it's a dual-motor EV in base form, and it promises nothing short of 600 hp and 617 lb-ft of torque, good for 0-60 mph launches in just 3.4 seconds. These numbers alone should get repeat Grand Cherokee buyers to pay attention. Another American-sized number is 100.5, and that's the capacity of the battery promising 303 miles in the EPA cycle. And yes, this SUV is actually based on the same platform that also underpins the Dodge Charger Daytona. Inside, there are more screens than in a Circuit City (remember Circuit City?), and Jeep isn't cutting corners on interior materials either. All of these numbers sound like a lot of money. But the actual dimensions of the Wagoneer S, as well as its starting price, might surprise some longtime EV shoppers. |
