Energy saving heat pump
Waste heat doesn’t have to be wasted heat. The heat pump warms up the cabin and preserves charge for more time on the road by making use of run-off thermal energy from the electric motors, battery, and ambient air.
Adjustable steering feedback
The driver can adjust the feel of the progressive electric power steering in Polestar 4 according to personal preference. Choose between three modes: “light” for navigating city streets and parking lots, “standard” for motorways, and “firm” for active driving on twisty roads.
Tuned active ZF dampers with coil springs
The more performance-oriented active ZF dampers feature specially tuned valves to work in unison with the 22-inch forged alloy wheels. The stiffer springs and anti-roll bars ensure an even higher level of control when the suspension feel is set to “firm” via the centre display.
Available as an upgrade with the Dual motor version.
Chassis
To be able to tune a chassis for performance, the key components must be in place: a low centre of gravity, balanced weight distribution, and structural stiffness. Polestar 4 has it all. Thanks to the team of dedicated chassis engineers, its handling inspires confidence with an instant steering response that is unique to its kind.
Digital Key
Drivers with an iPhone can sync their digital key with Apple Wallet¹ and use it to lock, unlock, and start Polestar 4. The main driver can administer and manage secure copies of the key with others, and it works with the car’s profile memory to store the preferred settings for up to six drivers.
Technology Intuitive built-in Google software. The rich sound of the optional Harmon Kardon premium sound system. Clear, easy-to-read displays. The cutting edge technology of Polestar 4 enhances every drive.
Themes There are five different themes for Polestar 4’s interior, each designed around carefully combined materials and colours. Experience a new form of luxury from the comfort of every seat.
Electric reclining The virtual rear window enables the generous head- and legroom in the back, creating a spacious, cocooned environment. The optional electric recliner seats allow the seat backs to be angled to 34 degrees for an even more relaxing drive.

FAT uncovered: Cars, culture, and couture at the world's coolest ice track
Earlier this month, Polestar set up base camp in the heart of the Austrian Alps for this year’s FAT International Ice Race. Between hot laps and hot shots, the world got its first glimpse of the Arctic Circle collection—a four-wheeled nod to the company’s distinctive racing DNA.
The FAT Ice Race is the perfect fit for Polestar as it’s all about car culture and performance
Michael Manske, Head of PR & Communications at Polestar
The legendary, multiple Le Mans-winning car with its distinctive Gulf Powder Blue racing colours creeps its way around the lake. But it’s not alone. A procession of wild and brightly coloured race cars is in tow, inching its way through the narrow streets of the ancient Alpine village. It’s not something you see every day. But then you realise you're not just in any Central European town. You're in Zell am See—home to the FAT Ice Race.
With 5,000 car enthusiasts descending upon a small frozen airstrip beside the normally tranquil Lake Zell, the sleepy town in northern Austria has transformed into a loud and colourful carnival of automotive abundance. In these rarefied circles, you’d better bring your A game. Since its relaunch a couple of years ago, the FAT Ice Race has been called many things. To some, it's a "Goodwood in the snow"; to others, it's "the world's most exclusive winter car event." For Polestar, though, it's something altogether different. Something simpler. Something more... fun.
"The FAT Ice Race is the perfect fit for Polestar as it’s all about car culture and performance. We love to excite with our cars and be part of an engaging and inspiring crowd," explains Michael Manske, Head of PR & Communications at Polestar. "Polestar started as a racing team and you can feel this performance DNA in all our cars—they’re a joy to drive. I think anyone who has been inside one today will tell you that."

- A beautiful car with a one of a kind design language. I’ve watched this series from start to finish and anticipated this car from the first look all the way back in 2020. One last piece of art to complete the polestar line up envisioned all the way back in 2019.
- I'm anxiously awaiting upgrading my 2021 Polestar 2 with a Polestar 2 if/when it arrives in the US. BTW, love me some Alphaville!
- Impressive marketing effort! "Polestar, flowing from earth, for earth." Very tastefully presented with spectacular visuals and fitting audio. And the car is stunning. Thanks for the quality video!
- I thought for sure that they were filming in full spectrum infrared, or at least emulating the classic KodaK Aerochrome look. Was a little disappointed that it was "just" red flowers. Still looked cool though!
- I just don't get why they would spoil this artwork with the three letters that instantly make any car 99% less attractive: "SUV". Performance and SUV are opposites, and can't both be used to describe the same thing. The marketing team even realises this, and so, puts it in a bed of flowers that hide it's more "SUV" characteristics and stance.
- Polestars are beautiful vehicles, but its the ridiculus price tags they have to tack on these vehicles to make them profitable, which is unnattractive. All EV makers will continue to lose money for the next 7 years, until the prevailing battery technology allows them to sell a 25,000 USD car for 25,000 USD. Lets hope Polestar holds on that long; fellow investor, fingers crossed.
