By Vikram Khajuria: New Delhi: After successful sale of its diesel variant, the Jeep Compass is planning to roll out its petrol variant this Diwali. The petrol variant is packed with 1.4 Multi-Air Turbo Petrol ‘Sport’ 4x2 variant with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Jeep introduced a sturdy rival for many SUVs in India with the launch of its SUV Compass on 6 August 2017. And soon after its launch, Jeep Compass crossed the 10,000-booking mark in September and got more than 92,000 enquiries by the customers. The petrol engine belts out 163 ps with a torque measure of 250Nm. The company claimed mileage for 4x2 (Automatic) is stated to be14.1 km/l. The price of the petrol variant will be Rs 16.16 lakh (ex-Delhi).
The diesel model comes with 2.0L MultiJet Turbo Diesel ‘Limited (O)’ 4x4 variant with a 6-speed manual transmission. The SUV is available to customers in three trims - Sport, Longitude and Limited and 10 variants, including a 4x2 Turbo Petrol with a 7-speed automatic transmission (DDCT). Apart from the engine, Jeep offers features like Electric Parking Brake, electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic , Brakeforce Distribution, Hill Ascent Control, disc brakes on all four wheels and front airbags. These features are all standard safety equipment across the range.
The SUV is available to customers in three trims - Sport, Longitude and Limited and 10 variants, including a 4x2 Turbo Petrol with a 7-speed automatic transmission (DDCT).
