The second generation of the Skoda Kodiaq is getting ready for its global premiere this autumn. The car builds on its extremely successful predecessor (over 790,000 units sold) while bringing upgrades left, right and centre. Alex Montyro explains some of them in this video.
One of the things Alex highlights is the more striking and robust design. It’s an effective balance of power and emotion, Alex days. The new Kodiaq is slightly larger than its predecessor, mainly in length, and the interior is also more spacious. Passengers can look forward to more leg room and more head room. The new Kodiaq will again be available as a seven-seater.
larger than its predecessor’s. The total space available will make the Kodiaq one of the leaders in its class.
Alex also points out some changes in the car’s interior, where we’ll find new design, new materials and some new controls, combining touch-sensitive elements with tactile feedback. Another new feature will be the automatic transmission selector on the steering column.
Both drivers and passengers can look forward to a truly enjoyable drive, delivered by a powertrain with outputs ranging from 110 to 150 kW. The new Skoda Kodiaq will be available with two TSI petrol engines and two TDI diesel engines. On top of that there will be the Kodiaq iV plug-in hybrid option, which has a purely electric driving range of over 100 kilometres per charge. And needless to say, the Kodiaq will also come in an all-wheel drive version.
