The sacred mountain of Tindaya holds 300 ancient engravings that, centuries later, continue to inspire the world. Because when you truly believe in something, you’re willing to carve it in stone. Discover the Cupra Tindaya unveiled at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. Named after a volcanic mountain on Fuerteventura, the Tindaya embodies bold design, emotional driving, and Cupra’s future vision of stylistic and ergonomic excellence.

Key Highlights: Name origin & philosophy: Named after Mount Tindaya, the concept echoes the copper-toned textures of the volcanic rock and follows the “No Drivers, No CUPRA” ethos—putting the driver at the center of everything.

Design language: At 4.7 m long, with massive 23″ wheels and an aggressive "black mask" front that animates like a living creature, the Tindaya previews the future of Cupra design.

Interior & UX: A driver-centric cockpit features a 24″ forward display, ambient lighting, and a “phygital” interface known as The Jewel—blending physical and digital interactions.

Powertrain & platform: Based on VW Group’s new SSP (Scalable Systems Platform), the Tindaya concept features a battery setup paired with a 1.5 L TSI range-extender engine, delivering an estimated 489 bhp, 0–62 mph in 4.1 seconds, and a theoretical range exceeding 600 miles.

Design influence: Many of the Tindaya’s -futuristic design elements are expected to shape upcoming Cupra production models.

Whether you're into automotive design, cutting-edge EV concepts, or the future of driving experience, the Cupra Tindaya is a milestone revealing how emotional engagement and high performance can coexist in a future-first, SUV concept.

- It’s absolutely beautiful… It’s very Maserati. I wish we could get this in the US. It would be the only EV I’d be interested in.

- The car is very nice, but the presenter is not understood, nor because the company hires someone who speaks English better or pronounces it better, it seems that it is Spanish and marks the SSS a lot.

- It looks stunning, very beautiful, but range extender, really, no mechanical battery made from a engine, a custom lightweight engine just to provide electric current no fuel, no watchgear gearbox everybody knows the gears on all mechanical watches, or watch gear drivetrain, still hybrid drivetrain technology is over 20 years old nothing special about that, such a lovely vehicle

- That sharp front will definitely break a pedestrian legs or decapitate a child. Not very wise design from this pov
