With the new all-electric ID.7, Volkswagen is redefining the performance of electromobility. The fully electric sedan combines long range, fast charging, extensive space and intuitive operation to create the new premium standard at Volkswagen. A jury of 38 German and international motoring journalists chose the ID.7 as “German Car of the Year 2024”. The electric sedan was able to prevail among the five category winners. All relevant new launches from the last twelve months were taken into account.
Online language assistant “IDA”
The voice assistant can be started with “Hello IDA!” He also understands free everyday phrases, such as “I’m cold.” or “Where are there Japanese restaurants in Berlin?” In addition, thanks to digital microphones, it now also recognizes whether the driver or the passenger is speaking, e.g. To provide the air conditioning in the vehicle specifically to the person making the request.
In the future, the new voice assistant “IDA” will also introduce itself to you visually on the center display and interactions can be tracked via graphics. The optimized system also asks questions or interrupts.
