Engine and gearbox
The second generation Baic X55 is equipped with a turbocharged petrol 1.5T engine (index: A156T2H) with 188 horsepower. This engine was included in the top 10 best engines according to “China Heart”.
The combination of the 1.5T engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 7.8 seconds.

Baic X55 II received softer body lines and modern style. The honeycomb-like front grille, dubbed "Diamond Star", highlights the sleek and sharp headlights. The sides are dominated by black accents that run along the edges of the wheel arches and doors, while the 5-spoke alloy wheels provide a nice break from the flowing side panel.
