2021 Nissan Kicks - Interior (US Spec)

The 2021 Nissan Kicks facelift has finally been launched in Japan, a month after the updated B-segment SUV made its maiden debut in Thailand. Two variants, – X, and X Two Tone Interior Edition – of the Kicks will be offered in Japan, with prices starting from 2,759,900 yen, to 2,869,900 yen.

Presented last month in Thailand, the 2021 Kicks will be sold with the e-Power electrified powertrain, which uses an electric motor to drive the wheels. The motor takes its juice from a 1.57 kWh lithium-ion battery and is backed up by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline range extender.

Exterior, the compact SUV gets a bolder V-motion radiator grille, slim LED headlights, a sportier front bumper with prominent side intakes and integrated fog lamps, blacked-out A-pillars for the floating roof effect, and new tail lights with boomerang-shaped light graphics. There’s a total of 13 different exterior colours in Japan, including nine monotone colours and four two-tone options.

Inside, it features a new instrument panel design, with a 7-inch infotainment system offered as standard, or an 8-inch screen as an option. A new design for the steering wheel and a reworked centre console to accommodate the model-specific gear lever and powertrain controls.
The 2021 Kicks is offered with the ProPilot semi-autonomous driving system, which eases the daily commute by helping drivers maintain the right distance to the vehicles ahead, keeping the small crossover centered in its lane and applying the brakes when necessary. All models pack Emergency Braking, Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication, as well as manual and automatic call function for emergencies.
