Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, states:
“Our path of growth through investment and development continues. This latest expansion of the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant reflects our commitment to pursuing the transformation that has now led us to a fully hybrid range. As always, this is only one stage in a journey defined by foresight and vision, where people and technology remain two equally central and decisive factors.”
The Saddlery Department: a symbol of Made in Italy and human value
The expansion of the saddlery department marks a new step in the growth of the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant, where craftsmanship and human value remain central elements in the creation of every car. It is a place where tradition and innovation meet, expressing Italian excellence recognised worldwide for its attention to detail and the quality of its production processes.
Today, the department, a key part of the plant’s expansion, is home to 170 specialised artisans – highly skilled professionals who are increasingly rare – who handcraft the interiors of each Lamborghini destined to become an ambassador of Made in Italy on a global scale. Here, precious materials such as leather and microfibre are worked to guarantee a level of customisation in line with the Ad Personam programme, chosen by over 94% of Lamborghini clients.
The refurbishment has led to a doubling of machinery, necessary to manage the volumes related to the Temerario and to ensure the production of the Revuelto, and to a completely redesigned production layout aimed at improving ergonomics and operational flows. For the first time, an automatic leather gluing system has been introduced, capable of adapting the amount of adhesive to the volume of material, reducing waste and emissions — a concrete example of how technology can support manual craftsmanship without diminishing its value.
In parallel, Automobili Lamborghini has invested in training and professional development, enabling personnel to acquire specific expertise in new-generation materials and techniques. This reflects the company’s conviction that its people are a key factor in its competitiveness, able to accompany the brand’s evolution with skill and passion.
The Super Sports Line: symbol of Automobili Lamborghini’s hybrid revolution
As part of the expansion of the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant, a central role is played by the super sports car production line, renewed to accommodate the Temerario, the new hybrid V8 biturbo flagship model, following the Revuelto, the company’s first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle).
This line hosts two different technical architectures – V12 and hybrid V8 – on the same assembly stations, integrating them into a single production flow. This achievement demonstrates the company’s ability to evolve towards a production model that is increasingly efficient, flexible and technologically advanced. The restructuring of the line enables a full-capacity daily output of 10 Revuelto and 20 Temerario units, with a redesigned layout ensuring maximum precision and quality in every phase of assembly. Deliveries of the Revuelto are already under way, while the first Temerario models will reach customers by the end of 2025. The order bank, already covering around one year, confirms the success of the new hybrid generation and the strong appreciation for the direction the brand has taken.
Ranieri Niccoli, Chief Manufacturing Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, declares: “The expansion of the production line and the saddlery department represents a fundamental step in the evolution of our Manifattura Lamborghini. We have doubled production capacity, introduced new machinery and improved workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and quality. This transformation stems from the need to accommodate the new hybrid generation and respond to the strong demand for personalisation from our customers, confirming our determination to continue innovating while maintaining the artisanal excellence that defines us.”
Two initiatives with not only industrial but also symbolic significance, demonstrating Automobili Lamborghini’s long-term vision. The production line stands as an icon of innovation and corporate evolution, while the saddlery department embodies a philosophy that unites a future increasingly hybrid, technological and centred on human value.

- All I see is an Aventador w/a face lift. Lamborghini is like Porsche now, same car over and over.🤷♂- Love your videos. I really wish they would put all those dials on the steering wheel onto the center console. That steering wheel is WAYYY too cluttered with buttons. Hopefully by 2027 they start listening to the customers because NO ONE likes it. They also need to speed up the infotainment center because it's too slow. Otherwise.......beautiful machine
- I’m a huge Lamborghini car fan but someone please give me a legitimate reason why this car cost almost $700,000.00.
