It's been a rocky year for Tesla's core car business. We'll have to wait until January to learn whether Elon Musk's automaker pulled out a year of growth in 2024, but that seems unlikely. Tesla's performance is looking particularly bleak in Europe, where, as we reported today, its sales dropped by around 40% in November. To be sure, Tesla is far from the only car brand that's struggling in Europe. And it's still a force to be reckoned with in EVs. But it's becoming clearer by the day that Tesla needs new models if it wants to keep growing.
