Now, Mercedes appears to be edging ahead with this promising battery technology. The automaker has begun tests of Factorial Energy's solid-state design, estimating a range of over 1,000 kilometers, or over 621 miles, in its prototype EQS sedan. But a lot of things still have to fall into place before consumers can actually take advantage of solid-state tech.
