The car was developed by Russian specialists, from creating the concept, layout, and design to designing, manufacturing, and tuning all systems, functions, and driving performance of the model. Almost one thousand original units and parts (996 new and improved components) were created for Lada Azimut, including body panels, lighting equipment, and interior elements, as well as a new rear suspension.
Serial production of Lada Azimut is scheduled for 2026.
Exterior design
The design of the new crossover is made in line with a modern trend: the car demonstrates dynamics, inspires a sense of confidence and security. Balanced proportions and a dynamic appearance are achieved through a high raised hood line, 18-inch wheels, vertical volumes of the front and rear parts, diagonal lines in the exterior design, a sloping roof line, and a dynamic inclination of the rear window with pillars.
The signature "X-style" has received a new interpretation, approaching in the course of its evolution the minimalist design of electronic gadgets. The front, rear, and side parts of the car, as well as exterior and interior details, are made in a single stylistic key, which makes the car attractive and competitive. Fully LED lighting equipment is also made in the "X-design".
The LADA design is traditionally functional - in the new Lada Azimut, it emphasizes the all-terrain potential of the car, and the unpainted plastic body kit protects the enamel from damage. The ability to move on roads of any quality is also embedded in the design: cross-country ability is provided by short body overhangs and a ground clearance of 208 mm.
Interior and equipment
The spacious interior of the Lada Azimut provides a high level of comfort and practicality. Many storage niches, wireless charging for gadgets, an electric steering wheel and seats - all this will ensure the convenience of everyday trips and long journeys. The car is equipped with such options as a panoramic roof with a sunroof, heated side windows, dual-zone climate control, an electric tailgate, a 360-degree camera, an electric parking brake, and a system for selecting a driving mode depending on the surface. The basic configuration already includes a multimedia system (with a 10" screen and 6 speakers) and a digital instrument cluster with built-in navigation, a rear-view camera, fully LED optics, a tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, etc.
Premiere of a new Russian multimedia platform
A new software platform for multimedia with services and solutions from Sber, which is developing its own ecosystem of products for car enthusiasts, and other domestic partner companies of the bank, is installed on the Azimut for the first time. The Lada Azimut multimedia system is a modern hardware and software complex with a 10-inch HD screen on an IPS matrix, providing a bright and clear image in any lighting. The system offers convenient access to navigation, multimedia, and voice control using a virtual assistant from Sber with GigaChat. Navigation across Russia works on 2GIS maps in offline and online modes. To ensure the operation of the online functionality of a number of services in Azimut, a SIM profile from SberMobile will be installed. The Zvuk music service will be presented in a standard and extended version, which can be accessed with an active SberPrime subscription. The platform will make it possible to pay for fuel online at gas stations using the head unit screen, including using Thank You bonuses, as well as control climate control, interior lighting, and different driving modes. Authorization with Sber ID opens access to the extended functionality of Sber and its partners' services.
The software for the multimedia system is being developed by the technology company Navio.
Powertrains
The starting line of Lada Azimut powertrains is represented by modernized engines of our own production, 1.6 and 1.8 liters with a capacity of 120 and 132 hp, respectively. Transmissions - 6-speed "mechanics" and a CVT. Also in the future, the car will receive a new turbocharged engine with a capacity of 150 hp with a classic automatic transmission.
The new crossover from Lada will be the best offer in terms of price/quality in its segment. The competitive advantages of the car are emotional and technological design, full adaptation to Russian conditions, a developed dealer and service network, affordable cost of ownership, spacious interior and trunk, high level of equipment, and attractive price.
