Auto Emergency Braking Technologies
Standard Auto Emergency Braking w/ Pedestrian, Cyclist, & Junction Turning Detection technology uses a front radar and camera to scan the road ahead for potential obstacles while available Junction Crossing Detection technology scans for vehicles in front that may be approaching from the left or right sides when turning through an intersection. Both are designed to alert the driver or, in certain circumstances, can automatically apply the brakes to help prevent a collision.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
If you try to change lanes while an object is detected in your blind spot, standard Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist can, in certain circumstances, help avoid a collision by actively moving your vehicle away from the adjacent vehicle.
Parking Sensors
Standard front and rear parking sensors and available side parking sensors use integrated ultrasonic sensors to help detect obstacles in front of, behind, and to the side of your vehicle. If a hazard is detected, the system can provide an auditory warning.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
If oncoming obstacles are detected while reversing out of a parking spot, standard Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist can issue an alert to the driver or apply the brakes to help intervene.4
Highway Driving Assist 2
Available Highway Driving Assist 2 can help to maintain a specified speed and distance from the vehicle detected ahead of you using a forward-facing camera, radar sensors, and navigation data. It can also assist with steering wheel control when changing lanes (activated by the turn signal) with a one-touch button setting for speed.

I did a test drive yesterday and purchased one immediately thereafter. In 2-3 weeks it will be delivered.

- Love to have you. I think KIA EV have its own unique language abnd character which uis different from Chinese EV. Though Chinese EVs provide some fancy gadgets in their cars, I sometimes cant feel their vibe their scent
- This car captured my heart like the Kia Soul did years ago! Getting a Soul for my first car was the best decision I made and it's been such an amazing little car through the years I've had it, so many amazing memories with it. I missed out on the Electric Kia Soul and couldn't completely convince myself on any other car until seeing this one. I can't wait for it to get to the US. It's going to break my heart to move on from my reliable Soul but I'm ready for EV's!
- My Kia dealer told me I have to bring in my EV9 every 5000 miles for required maintenance. My last gas vehicle only required oil changes every 7000 miles and maintenance every 40,000 miles. Yes, I know the actual service intervals, but it doesn't stop dealers from continuing to scam. It's time to ditch the dealer model, Kia. The buying process took 4 dealers to have one actually honor the government and Kia incentives. One dealer even had the gaul to threaten taking the incentives off.😂
