Jeep’s engineering teams achieved this through innovative design features, including: a fully flat underbody, invisible to the eye but critical in managing airflow beneath the vehicle for both aerodynamic and off-road protection; Active Grille Shutters (AGS) seamlessly integrated into the bumper, reducing drag by almost two points at higher speeds by closing when cooling is not required; aero-optimized wheels that blend rugged aesthetics with improved airflow management, contributing to aerodynamic gains while enhancing the vehicle’s stance; rear aerodynamic enhancements such as sharp trailing edges, holders on the quarter glass, a high-efficiency roof spoiler, and functional air curtains in the rear wheel arches—features more commonly seen on high-performance sports cars than SUVs. These developments resulted in a 10% improvement in the coefficient of drag (Cx), achieving a class-leading value of less than 0.29, making this the most aerodynamically efficient Jeep ever on the European market.
