- The hybrid version of this car is going to be a blockbuster when it's out. a 1000km range on a luxurious 3 row SUV! I am waiting for the Telluride Hybrid whenever it launches next year. When you compare the interior of this vs the Pilot and Grand Highlander, there is no comparison- I think this all-new Palisade is one of Hyundai's best-looking vehicles. It looks great inside and out - especially with the interior & exterior colours your tester has. If I was to own a Palisade and did not need to use the third-row seats, I would keep them folded down as it seems that the rear visibility is improved in that mode ( 6:26 )
- Picked up the v6 calligraphy yesterday. While the hybrid has more power and range. First gen hybrid potential problems ultimately changed our mind.
The 3.5 v6 (Lambda III - G6DT) same as the Kia Carnival now have dual ports. So it should be more reliable than the outgoing. Power delivery is adequate. Very relaxed. Might feel slow when getting to highway speed. The gas tank is on the smaller side. Full tank showed about 380 miles of range.
The front air flaps might be a problem in the future. Depending how often the motors actuates, it would need to be replaced at some point. The tires, while quiet and comfy, will also be costly.
You can get a decent deals for a V6 Calligraphy FWD or AWD. We negotiated our AWD Calligraphy down to $53k USD before TTL. Dealers are trying to make room for hybrids.
