The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc. Introduced in 2017, the Model 3 is marketed as being more affordable to more people than previous models by Tesla. The Model 3 was the world's top selling plug-in electric car for three years, from 2018 to 2020, before being knocked from the top spot by the Tesla Model Y, a crossover SUV based on the Model 3 chassis. In June 2021, the Model 3 became the first electric car to pass global sales of 1 million. A refresh of the Tesla Model 3 was introduced in 2023, offering a revised exterior and interior.

Tesla announced a design refresh of the Model 3 on September 1, 2023, bringing a longer driving range, along with a restyled exterior and interior. During development, the refresh was codenamed "Project Highland," with the company reportedly also focused on cutting production costs. Reports of the coming redesign first appeared in late 2022. Gigafactory Shanghai was the first of Tesla's factories to begin making the refreshed Model 3, with the company offering the vehicle for sale in China and markets to which Tesla exports from China, including Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Japan.

- Maybe this is just an initial review however you missed a number of changes this model has over previous. Biggest is now brake by wire with mechanical override and regeneration has been merged with the pedal. Also there are 2 regeneration modes now. The suspension got revised and now includes frequency select dampers. The rear seats now have motorised fold and raise, plus there is a storage location under rear floor for the boot privacy screen. Sound system, bluetooth, cellular and microphones for calls have been upgraded. Matrix headlights are significantly better. Both boot struts are now powered, not just one side. Motor reduction gearing has been tweaked and the lubricant changed to one giving less friction. Many other tweaks as well. Basically most of the car got revised. A good car just got significantly better, and most likely safer as the door latch mechanisms and body has improved.

- Model Y makes up more than 60% of total Tesla sales. Model Y production line was shut down for a few weeks to retool for the new Model Y Juniper production lines. Tesla was getting rid of the old Model Y inventories before ramping up production for the new Model Y Junipers, hence, the lower monthly sales figures. Although, backlash against Elon may have some effect but not to the extent you were alluding to. Case in point, there were 200,000 orders for the new Model Y Juniper in China, and 8,600 orders for new Teslas in 3 days in Canada.

- Leftists losing it in the comments section hahaha! Have fun reading the comments. Considering buying a second Tesla. These cars are just very good. Absolutely love the minimalist design, speed and range. Have not had a single issue with my Model 3 that I bought almost a year ago. Great review btw!
