The all-new all-electric CLA is the first model built on our new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture. The CLA has been designed to operate on 800-volt DC chargers which are the quickest and most efficient chargers available, giving drivers the optimal charging experience. Mercedes-Benz Navigation with Electric Intelligence ensures that the driver is always directed to a compatible charging station. The focus is deliberately on the high-power charging infrastructure with 800 volts. Mercedes-Benz Navigation with Electric Intelligence features algorithms to optimise your travel time and reduces the overall time spent charging, by exploiting the CLA’s maximum charging performance of 320kW.
Digital Extra: MB.CHARGE Public
With MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes-Benz offers its customers access to one of the largest public charging networks[k] in the world. Just with one charging account Mercedes-Benz customers have access to around 2 million charging points worldwide. The Mercedes-Benz Charging Network
offers fast, convenient and Green Charging[a] of electric vehicles. Depending on region, the charging stations offer charging rates of currently up to 400 kW, provided via the respective standard charging systems. The charging stations are located around main traffic areas and select Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The charging network is open to drivers of all brands. Mercedes-Benz customers, however, enjoy special benefits, for example the ability to reserve a charging point via the MB.CHARGE Public[] service to reduce waiting times. The Mercedes-Benz Charging Network will be seamlessly integrated here and will complement the around 2 million charging points to which users already have access worldwide.
Navigation with Electric Intelligence
Experience comfortable Navigation with Electric Intelligence. As part of the Digital Extra MB.CHARGE Public, the navigation system not only suggests the optimal route, including all necessary charging stops, but also calculates the expected charging costs. In addition, you have the option to edit the planned route individually at any time by adding preferred charging stations along the route or rejecting suggested charging stations.
Active range monitoring
The active range monitoring assists with messages in the driver and central display to ensure safe arrival at the destination with the charge level set by the driver. The range is permanently monitored and if necessary, the range monitor shows a recommended maximum speed or asks to activate the ECO driving functions.
Green Charging
With green electricity certificates, Green Chargingal ensures that an equivalent amount of electricity from renewable energy sources is fed into the power grid for charging processes via MB.CHARGE Public when electricity from renewable energy sources is not yet available.

- Sorry but the front light bar needs to go. It makes the car very ugly and un-Mercedes. Also the dashboard needs a major redesign, as the single block of flat glass is so uncharacteristic.- For me the most important thing is long range, and sound isolation, the quality to make road noise and tyre noise away.
