Innovation in mobility begins with commitment. The all-new NEXO, unveiled in April 2025, embodies Hyundai’s 27 years of dedication to fuel cell technology, paving the way for a new era of hydrogen-powered transportation.

Art of Steel: Durability’s dazzling side
The all-new NEXO’s design concept goes beyond aesthetics to reflect a deep obligation to durability and structural integrity. Based on the INITIUM concept unveiled in October 2024, the all-new NEXO embodies Hyundai Motor’s new ‘Art of Steel’ design language, reflecting steel’s inherent strength, versatility, and unique formability.

By adopting a customer-centric approach, the all-new NEXO presents a robust and sophisticated design. Bold lines and a sturdy structure create a rugged appearance, while the cross-sectional design throughout the vehicle enhances its strength. Additional horizontal groove patterns on the door further highlight durability. The aerodynamic wheel design complements the overall aesthetic, making it suitable for both urban and outdoor lifestyles.

The HTWO lamps define the vehicle’s exterior, creating a distinctive FCEV-specific design cue that blends boldness with refinement and neatly encapsulates HTWO’s ‘Hydrogen for Humanity’ message. Unique 4 Dot Lamps also ensure Hyundai’s presence even when the logo isn’t visible at night.

Comfort cabin
Inside, the all-new NEXO offers a spacious cabin, designed to provide comfort. Soft-touch materials with refined patterns create a warm and inviting ambience, while the driver-centric curved display and intuitively arranged controls enhance ease of use. In addition, NEXO has been newly extended in length, width, and height compared to its predecessor, further enhancing passenger comfort and expanding rear cargo capacity. With a storage volume of 510 liters(1,630 liters when second-row folded)*, it offers ample generous space for large items.

*Based on VDA standards.

New fuel cell system: Charging & AER
The all-new NEXO boasts significant powertrain advancements that position it as a strong contender in the midsize SUV segment. These advancements are centered around the fuel cell (FC) system and power electronics (PE) system, which have been enhanced to improve power performance.

A redesigned motor system complements these enhancements, increasing the PE system power and battery capacity. As a result, These improvements contribute to a faster 0-100kph acceleration time, reducing it from 9.2 seconds to 7.8 seconds, ensuring excellent acceleration and smooth overtaking capabilities.

The all-new NEXO excels in both charging capability and interior space, featuring an increased fuel storage capacity without sacrificing cabin comfort. The system’s all-electric range (AER) offers competitive fuel efficiency and an increased hydrogen tank capacity, which has increased from 6.33kg to 6.69kg. As a result, NEXO is able to achieve up to 826km* of range from a five-minute charge.

*Based on WLTP standards with 18-inch wheels.

Smart safety
The all-new NEXO has been carefully crafted to achieve top-tier safety ratings across major global safety assessment programs, underscoring Hyundai's dedication to delivering outstanding safety performance and ensuring comprehensive protection for both drivers and passengers.

NEXO is constructed using hot stamping and high-strength materials to enhance body rigidity and ensure strong passive safety through effective passenger room protection. Its multi-skeleton structure features nine airbags to optimally protect passengers and the hydrogen tank.

Additionally, it is also equipped with advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that provides more peace of mind on the road. One of the key features is the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA 2), which includes the Evasive Steering Assist function. This system warns the driver of potential collisions with vehicles or other objects and helps control the steering wheel to avoid such incidents. When activated, it automatically provides emergency steering assistance, provided that the lane into which the vehicle is being steered is clear.

Unwavering Commitment
Hyundai Motor’s all-new NEXO is a testament to the company’s leadership in the global hydrogen market. Hyundai Motor continues to expand FCEV infrastructure and strengthen its market position as a pioneer in hydrogen mobili

- Hyundai, at least with this one, I can accept the design, of those really ugly square pixel lights, at least! Cause the Santa Fe, if you would kindly remove it from market and remake it closely similar to this one, I would swallow it, but not in the state that it is right now. and all of the others ones, Ionic 5 remove that and redesign it, Tucsson, those front lights, like calm down and redesign it... This one looks bold, beautiful, has a stance, much much better.
