The 2026 Nissan Armada expands its wide-ranging capabilities with the launch of the model’s first NISMO grade. With the most horsepower of any Armada to date, exclusive styling and handling enhancements, Armada NISMO takes Nissan’s muscular and capable full-size SUV to a new level.
The 2026 Armada will reach Nissan dealerships this fall.
Building on more than 40 years of NISMO performance expertise, the Armada NISMO excites driving enthusiasts with 460 horsepower — a 35-horsepower increase versus other versions (when using premium fuel only) — from its twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine1 and a louder, less restrictive exhaust. NISMO engineers also precisely retuned the electric power steering and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension2 for more engaging and direct handling. Completing the dynamic upgrades, NISMO-specific forged wheels shod in NISMO-exclusive high-performance tires deliver greater traction and responsiveness.
“The new Armada NISMO brings a bold, sporty edge to the lineup, joining the tough PRO-4X and the upscale Platinum Reserve. It’s all about giving drivers more of what they’re looking for,” said Vinay Shahani, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Sales at Nissan. “No matter where you're headed—on the highway, off the beaten path, or way off the grid—there’s an Armada built for the journey.”
The new version features a distinctive NISMO design including a new front and rear fascia, grille, side steps and rear spoiler. Fender flares and red-painted brake calipers continue the exterior transformation. For the ultimate sporty appearance, Armada NISMO is offered in an exclusive Stealth Gray paint option. Within the cabin, NISMO touches include adjustable bolsters for the front seats, aluminum pedals and quilted leather-appointed seats with red accents.
NISMO expands the Nissan Armada range just one year after the introduction of the all-new 2025 model. Offered in SV, SL, Platinum, PRO-4X, NISMO and Platinum Reserve grades, the full-size SUV delivers supreme comfort, premium interior features, confident handling, effortless off-road capability and next-level technologies.

- it looks great, some of the red accents on the side profiles are overkill. like the running boards did not need the red line we got the message everywhere else.
- I love Nissan but hate how they fizzled out the sport compact sedans😭 Please bring back the SE-R / Nismo trim for the planned redesigned Sentra🙏
- Super nice to hear that is has an actual power increase. A lot of these "track" or "performance" edition trims are just appearance packages.
- This is exactly what Nissan needed to do! Fingers crossed the next GT-R is a performance hybrid ZR-1X competitor and not all electric. I'm fine with a microphone speaker exhaust sound, better than a synthetic sound. I hope they keep this going with more NISMO versions that actually improve performance and aren't just sticker and trim packages!
