The 2021 Cupra Formentor - Exterior, Interior

Being a more upmarket brand compared with SEAT, Cupra is offering higher-end materials for the interior surfaces. Sporting front bucket seats wrapped in leather, the Formentor’s interior shows tones of copper and dark aluminum throughout.

In front of the seats is the seemingly floating dashboard. If it seems familiar, that’s because we’ve just seen it in as a slightly different variant and in other dimensions on the Leon.
Even the steering wheel has the same shape, and at first sight the only thing different about it being the big Cupra logo in the middle, that has replaced the SEAT one. A closer look however reveals the engine start button and the CUPRA mode selector.
For what it’s worth, there is a full-LED wraparound ambient lighting across the front of the cabin and the doors that brings a touch of colored flavor to the interior.
The size of the Cupra SUV makes it clear that there is enough room inside for both passengers to enjoy, and for their luggage to be taken along in large quantities. According to Cupra, the SUV’s luggage capacity is 450 liters.
The overall look and size of the Formentor is something you can expect from a brand belonging to Volkswagen. Riding on a wheelbase of 2,680 mm, the all-terrain vehicle is 4,450 mm long, 1,839 mm wide, and has a height of 1,511 mm.
Being a vehicle that belongs to what should be a performance brand, the SUV does look a bit more sculpted than its VAG siblings, and that goes for the entire body: front, rear and everything in between.
There are also some design elements that have been used on cars made by SEAT as well, like say the continuous light bar that unites the two stoplights at the rear, or the styling of the front lights.

To make it a bit more special in an already crowded segment, and trying to differentiate it some more from what else VAG is doing, Cupra went for a two-tone body riding high on 19-inch wheels. The paint scheme seen on the car shown as an example by the Spanish can be selected in one of five available colors: Graphene Grey, Dark Camouflage, Desire Red, Petrol Blue Matt, and Magnetic Tech Matt.
