And with European suspension tuning, proper Mazda DNA and competitive EV pricing, we wonder if this is the Mazda6 replacement we've been waiting for – or just a fancy Chinese EV wearing a Japanese costume? Watch to find out.

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
> a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
> a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
> a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
> a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
> a whiplash test performed on a sled.

A series of pedestrian tests is also conducted with different impactors: adult and child head forms and lower and upper leg forms. As well as the AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023, a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.

Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment, including autonomous emergency braking in car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (which encompasses seatbelt reminders, fatigue detection, distraction detection, and impairment detection), lane support, and speed assistance technologies.

It's actually a reskinned Deepal L07 built by Changan in China, not Japan.

This EV sedan takes on the Tesla Model 3, blending Chinese technology with Mazda design in the new 6e, which features a 78 kWh LFP battery, over 500 km of range, and rear-wheel drive.

We explore whether this Changan-Mazda partnership represents outsourcing genius or if Mazda's first Chinese-built car for Australia will be a badge-engineering flop.

At under $55K (hopefully under $50K), the Mazda 6e electric sedan aims to battle Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal with premium interior materials, dual digital screens, and Mazda's signature styling.

- Mazda is now cooperating witch CHANGAN auto. I think they can find more solutions on electric cars
- Just check the prices- from 45 to 48 000 euro... And even for 48 000 euros you DON'T GET simple floor mats- they are an option for 133 euros... More interesting- even charging cable is "option" that cost over 500 euros...
- HUD needs to become standard with these distracting centre console iPads. Ahem, looking at you Tesla can't even open the glovebox having the passenger reach into my FoV for something so menial.
