- The luxury car tax needs to be looked at, car prices have skyrocketed in recent years, 40k is no longer buying you anything "luxury".
- It still confuses me why every car reviewer points out a car’s scratchy plastic door bins. They are like that for a reason, they get kicked getting in and out of the car. It’s not poor quality, it’s a practical choice of materials.
- I don't know if it is only me but it feels like most modern cars' interior and exterior designs unconnected, people design the interior have no idea how the exterior looks like. But this one with all that curvy smooth lines both inside and outside looks like came out from same design team.
- This car comes up there at top of interesting cars I'd buy as soon as I saw the first info popping up especially when price is a big concern (around Tesla Model 3). The only thing I kind of dislike is that the sedans keep getting bigger, especially in EVs, seems normal length nowadays at around 4,9~4.92 m or so for most new options, would be nice to have more options around Tesla Model 3 size. I've written off Tesla on my potential buy list since a while, nowadays it's mostly chinese cars that keep interesting me, Xiaomi (for me the most interesting option), Zeekr 007 GT, Mazda 6e and now this IM5. Just gotta get the options available here in europe too... sadly european car makers have lost their touch for me in the EV space, uninteresting interiors, sometimes outdated tech and high price premium that grants you nothing extra than imaginary brand quality from the ICE past.
