The 2026 Volvo XC70 is a next-generation long-range plug-in hybrid SUV that blends efficiency, technology, and Scandinavian design. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with electric motors, it delivers impressive performance while offering a pure electric driving range of 180–200 km (CLTC cycle) and a total range exceeding 1,200 km. Built on Volvo’s Scalable Modular Architecture (SMA), the XC70 supports fast-charging to 80% in just 23 minutes and also features bi-directional charging, allowing the vehicle to power external devices.

Inside, the SUV comes equipped with a 15.4-inch central infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and the option of an augmented reality head-up display for enhanced driving convenience. Volvo continues its commitment to advanced safety by integrating Pilot Assist, lane-keeping aid, and adaptive cruise control, ensuring both comfort and security on the road. The cabin is designed to be modern and practical, offering a premium driving experience with intuitive technology at its core.

On the outside, the XC70 showcases Volvo’s signature design elements, including Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights, a closed grille with active shutters, and distinctive C-shaped taillights integrated into the rear glass. With dimensions of 4,815 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height, and a 2,895 mm wheelbase, the SUV offers a spacious stance. It also provides multiple drive modes tailored for different terrains such as sand, gravel, snow, and rough conditions. Initially debuting in China, the XC70 is expected to make its way to European markets in the near future.
