The main difference is that the standard Equinox is a gas-powered vehicle, while the Equinox EV is a fully electric SUV. The choice depends on your priorities: the gas Equinox is better for long, traditional road trips with fast refueling, whereas the Equinox EV is ideal for lower running costs, home charging, and strong instant torque from its electric motor. - I tried to tell my salesman that I wanted the lt2 with convenience package 2, but I ended up with a RS. I guess I'll be fine without the heated mirrors and all, but I wish I had the 19" wheels. Wife already complains she doesn't like how it rides. Got her a cushion, and she's OK with that.- Biggest reason to get one now: never to think about gas prices anymore…just charge when needed (99% at home on level 2) and that’s it! It drives really well, is very solid and comfortable as well. Great job Chevy.
- Our 2025 Equinox has been great until this past week with a large software issue. On Star upgraded our system from the initial trial basic system and now the google map function does not function. I cannot plan a road trip with charging stops because the maps have no idea where we are. Plus any other internet based function such as my wife's spotify and a few other things do not work. Granted that is not serious but the maps is a huge problem. Up to this point the dealership or On Star have no idea how to solve this. Everything else about the car has been great but this is frustrating on a large level.
