When it comes to luxury flagship offerings, Mercedes-Benz pretty much holds a prominent position, that comes with a rich legacy of the S-class. Carrying forward the legacy with pride, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-class has been completely redesigned for the 2021 model. The 2021 S-class has bigger proportions, a new interior which is even more digital and intelligent, innovative safety technology, and ample futuristic features.
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan is available in two trim levels - S 500 4Matic and S 580 4Matic trims with standard all-wheel-drive at launch. Some most important innovations are 3-D instrumentation, active ambient lighting, haptic feedback, a massive OLED touchscreen powered by the latest MBUX, rear-wheel-steering, and active air suspension. The new Mercedes S-Class goes on sale in the first half of 2021 in the United States at prices yet to be announced.
Although unlike the previous generations, which demanded the S-Class be chauffeur-driven, the 2021 Mercedes S-Class wants you to get behind the wheel at times, mainly because it comes with two engine options, a 3.0L Inline-6, and a 4.0L Biturbo V8. Both these big guns come with EQ Boost and ISG tech as well. Thus Mercedes has given the safety of passengers its undivided attention this time around, especially with it introducing the E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL and the world's first rear-seat airbags. Although the exterior styling looks familiar you can find the most sumptuous interior setup ever. Like the 2020 S-Class, the new S-class sedan will have a broader trim range that will include an AMG performance model and a Maybach. The 2021 S-Class Coupe and Convertible are reviewed separately.
